Description
This is a 2-day seminar, combining the two 1-day workshops "Accessibility 2025 – Navigating the BFSG and Beyond" and "Web Accessibility in Practice – Techniques and Automation". Compared to booking both 1-day events separately, booking this 2-day bundle will save you 100€.
First day
Accessibility is back in focus, thanks to the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, Accessibility Strengthening Act)! Starting from June 2025, we are expected to make our e-commerce applications accessible. "Accessibility 2025: Navigating the BFSG and Beyond” is designed for product owners, tech leads and project managers to provide you with the knowledge and tools needed to confidently meet accessibility standards and improve your products' usability for all users.
This seminar offers a clear and practical understanding of the BFSG requirements and how to implement them effectively. You'll learn how to apply the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and EN 301 549 in your web projects, use tools and techniques to evaluate and enhance accessibility, and develop strategies to ensure your products are compliant and user-friendly.
Second day
This part of the workshop is tailored for web developers looking to deepen their understanding of accessibility and integrate it seamlessly into their development workflows.
This seminar provides a comprehensive overview of advanced accessibility techniques, focusing on practical application and automation. Participants will get to know relevant accessibility standards and requirements, explore the benefits of semantic HTML, learn about WAI-ARIA and accessibility tree, alongside practical coding sessions on various web elements and their accessible implementation. Additionally, the seminar addresses the automation of accessibility checks, using linters, unit and end-to-end tests, as well as the integration into CI/CD pipelines.
The workshop will be conducted via a video conferencing platform. The workshop will be conducted in English. All necessary information, including access details, will be provided via email beforehand. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive a certificate of participation.
