What does the workshop offer?
This four-day Python seminar provides a practical introduction to the core features of Python for participants with previous programming experience. The training combines explanations with hands-on exercises that can be completed directly in the browser.
The course covers Python syntax, data structures, procedural and object-oriented programming, modules, packages and practical applications. Sessions run from 9:00 to 17:00 with 6 to 12 participants.
What will participants learn?
- Use Python syntax, statements, expressions, control flow and loops.
- Work with lists, tuples, dictionaries, sets and other Python data types.
- Apply functions, generators, iterators, classes and inheritance.
- Structure Python projects with modules, packages, namespaces and scoping.
- Use Python for text processing and system-related tasks.
Who is the course for?
The seminar is designed for software developers and software engineers with some programming experience. Participants should understand basic concepts such as variables, data types and loops.
Previous experience can come from languages such as Java, C#, Basic or FORTRAN. Recent Python experience is not required.
What do participants receive?
All exercises are completed in an online programming environment that includes the required software. No additional installation is necessary; a modern browser and a reliable internet connection are sufficient.
Participants receive comprehensive course materials in PDF format covering the seminar content as well as all source code.
Why this workshop?
The course combines Python fundamentals with exercises at the end of each unit and a small Python project. This allows participants to apply the concepts covered during the seminar directly.
The seminar is led by Dr.-Ing. Mike Müller, founder and CEO of Python Academy. He has used Python since 1999, has taught the language since 2004 and has more than 1,000 days of Python teaching experience.
